Annual Report
KTC has had a successful year both in participation, membership and results.
KTC had 61 paid members this year (down by 4 from last year and 17 from 2021) but despite reduced numbers, we fielded good numbers at every competition, placed second in the South Coast League and second at Club Championships.
The KTC vision is to maintain a small, inclusive and active club, to win back the trophy for Club Championships and to win the South Coast League.
At an individual level we had some real highlights. Our first time Ironman competitors Pete, Mia and Sam all raced strongly with Sam scoring a roll down to earn her place at the big dance in Kona later in the year. Hannah will be hoping she too gets to join the party when she attempts to earn her spot at Cairns in a few weeks time. The club also fielded starters in 7 teams in the half ironman. Jay is off to Finland to compete at the worlds and we wish her the best of luck.
Club Champs was a case of oh so close. The event itself was a great day out on the new course and the club spirit was fantastic. At the end of the day, three clubs were separated by only one point. Nobody left disappointed. We had done what we could do and it is a result we can be very proud of. Next year however the trophy is coming back to Kiama where it belongs.
For several club members the focus now shifts to qualifying for the World Multisport Championships to be held in Townsville in 2024. David has his qualification in Aquabike and Cheryl is close. Several members will be looking to the winter duathlons to earn a place. The new season will see several club members competing in the long course qualifiers.
It is a season we can look back on with great pride not the least because we welcomed sight impaired athletes John and Lily into fold. The club is better and stronger for their presence.
So all told a great 2022-2023 season and the promise of an even better one to come.

Election of Office Bearers
An enormous thank you for all the work our committee does to make the Kiama Triathlon Club such a success. This year we have three committee members standing down. We would like to thank Dan Merange and Susan Hawley for all their contributions over the last few years as general members, helping with Club events and helping out the other committee positions. All members present at this AGM/ End of year party would also like to thank our vivacious Cerys, the Social secretary, for setting a very high standard of partying for the club, something we would very much like to continue in the future.
This club would not go ahead without the hard work of all the volunteers on the committee, and we would like to thank them all for their time and hard work.
